It is anticipated that sustainable funding will be acquired by applying for foundation and government grants, support from the Diocese of Huron and appealing to community members and partners for major gifts. Funds would be overseen and disbursed by the Parish of Long Point Bay. Work in partnership with institutions that are supporting our community by providing funding, such as United Way of Haldimand Norfolk, Kairos Canada, fundraiser events and public donations.
If you would like to donate to our cause and receive a charitable tax receipt, you can e-transfer to huronfarmworkersproject@gmail.com please provide your name, full address and telephone number so we can mail you a receipt.
We are in the process of finding a better solution and hopefully we will soon be able to accept credit card donations as well.
We are also looking for good used clothing preferably sized from small to large within a 100km radius of Port Rowan. In addition we would appreciate shoes, boots, gloves, towels, blankets, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, deodorant and bicycles.
We will be providing Welcome Kits, which will include hygiene items such as deodorant, shampoo etc. in partnership with the Catholic Church in Simcoe.
